The ocean is deeply intertwined with human development—not only does it influence the health of our planet, but also the wellbeing of humankind and the balance of ecosystems. “One Earth, One Shared Responsibility” reflects Nan Shan's commitment to the environment.
Through cross-sector collaboration with government agencies, academia, social organizations, and other enterprises, the Ocean Protection Action hosts a variety of annual events that respond to key social, environmental, and industry-related issues. These efforts are designed to spark interest and a sense of responsibility toward environmental protection among employees, clients, and the broader public, while increasing awareness and understanding of marine concerns.
Ocean Guardians repurposed collected marine debris to create ocean-themed upcycled art walls, transforming waste into visually compelling works of art that celebrate the unique maritime character of each region. In 2024 alone, four new marine debris upcycled art walls were completed across Miaoli, Yunlin, Kinmen, and Lienchiang Counties. To date, the project has brought life to 20 locations across Taiwan, each adorned with marine waste transformed into vibrant expressions of sustainability!
